Responsibilities :-
- Conduct thorough and accurate appraisal of gold jewelry and ornaments submitted as collateral for gold loans, ensuring adherence to industry standards and bank policies.
- Evaluate the purity, weight, and market value of gold items using standardized testing methods and tools.
- Stay updated with current gold market prices and trends to provide real-time valuation insights.
- Verify the authenticity of gold items and detect any counterfeit or adulterated materials.
- Maintain detailed records of appraisals, including photographs, test results, and valuation reports for audit and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to facilitate smooth processing of gold loan applications.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines related to gold loan appraisal and documentation.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on gold appraisal techniques and quality standards.
