GM / Head - Geology & Exploration | Copper & Cobalt Mining | Africa

Role & responsibilities

• Lead Geology & Exploration for Copper-Cobalt mining operations.
• Manage mineral exploration, drilling, resource estimation, reserve conversion and geological modelling.
• Lead grade control, ore quality and resource optimization.
• Ensure compliance with JORC / SAMREC / NI 43-101 standards.
• Lead geology teams and coordinate with Mining, Mine Planning, Metallurgy & Processing teams.

Preferred candidate profile

• 18+ years experience in Mining Geology / Mineral Exploration.
• Strong experience in Copper-Cobalt / Base Metal Mining, Resource Estimation, Geological Modelling, Grade Control and Open-Pit Mining.
• Knowledge of Leapfrog / Datamine / Surpac preferred.
• African mining experience, especially DRC/Zambia/Copperbelt, highly preferred.
• Bachelor's in Geology / Applied Geology; Master's preferred.
