About this role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Global Procurement Specialist – Capital Equipment and Construction based in the United States.
This is a remote opportunity for a strategic procurement professional responsible for driving value across global Capital Equipment and Construction categories. You will develop and implement sourcing strategies that support business continuity, cost optimization, supplier performance, and long-term business objectives. The role combines strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. You will work with senior stakeholders and suppliers to deliver complex initiatives with broad organizational impact. Strong commercial judgment and an understanding of contracts, financial considerations, and supplier markets will be essential. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading complex procurement initiatives in a collaborative, globally connected environment.
Accountabilities:: Develop and implement global procurement strategies for assigned Capital Equipment and Construction categories, balancing business continuity, value creation, cost, quality, and service objectives.
Establish, develop, and manage strategic supplier relationships to maximize commercial value and ensure reliable service delivery.
Lead negotiations and establish effective supplier agreements, ensuring competitive pricing, strong quality standards, appropriate contractual terms, and best-in-class service.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business priorities, procurement guidelines, and operational requirements.
Lead complex, high-value procurement projects and initiatives with significant organizational scope and impact.
Evaluate supplier markets and identify opportunities for cost optimization, improved service, risk mitigation, and stronger sourcing outcomes.
Influence senior stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of procurement strategies.
Apply strong business, contractual, and financial judgment when evaluating sourcing decisions, supplier agreements, and commercial opportunities.
Support continuous improvement of procurement processes, supplier performance, and strategic sourcing practices across assigned categories.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 6 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering, or Legal within a private, public, government, or military environment; alternatively, a high school diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, or a closely related discipline.
Working knowledge of Capital Equipment and Construction supplier markets and associated procurement practices.
Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent attention to detail and sound commercial judgment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders and build effective cross-functional relationships.
Strong understanding of business practices, contract language, financial considerations, and procurement principles.
Ability to lead complex initiatives, manage competing priorities, and deliver results across a global organization.
A Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain is preferred.
Additional language capabilities in German, Polish, and/or French are a plus.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employment visa sponsorship.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically, potentially up to 10%.
Benefits:
Compensation: Expected range of $107,600–$147,950 , including base pay and variable incentive pay where applicable.
Compensation may vary based on relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and experience.
