About this role
Global Procurement Manager
As Global Procurement Manager, you will lead Lionbridges global procurement function — driving strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract management and spend analytics to leverage key industry and internal partnerships, drive technical and commercial innovation, and deliver measurable cost savings.
This role has end-to-end ownership of technology expenditure across all areas of indirect spend, including IT, Marketing, HR, Facilities and Business Support Services, and drives the identification and delivery of group wide synergies and savings across these areas. The role is based in India, works closely with Lionbridge’s existing Purchasing & Licensing operations team to ensure sourcing decisions translate into day-to-day execution, and supports a global, remote leadership team across regions and time zones.
What will you do?
- Own strategic sourcing across all indirect spend categories — identify suppliers, run competitive RFPs and e-auctions, and negotiate contracts and renewals with key vendors to deliver measurable cost savings (typically 5–20% per category).
- Build and lead vendor management practices — supplier performance scorecards, SLAs, KPIs and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) — to raise service levels and strengthen negotiating leverage.
- Centralize contract management — maintain a master contract repository and renewal calendar, run pricing reviews, and prevent unfavourable automatic renewals.
- Deliver spend analytics across the business — analyse company-wide spend patterns to identify duplicate vendors, tail spend and consolidation opportunities.
- Work directly with management teams to identify further opportunities to streamline procurement practices and negotiate with vendors to reduce overall spend, especially in remote and smaller global offices.
- Work with management teams and commodity/supplier experts to develop, manage and refresh sourcing strategies and roadmaps for each actively managed spend category.
- Provide commodity and supplier expertise across all managed categories.
- Lead review of, and responses to, supplier proposals and RFPs, partnering with the Purchasing & Licensing operations team so sourcing decisions translate into day-to-day execution.
