    About this role

    Job Summary

As a Senior GIS Consultant/Analyst, you will apply your expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial data management and database technologies to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of complex and high-profile projects.

Leveraging the Esri technology stack (mobile, desktop and web), alongside ETL tools such as FME, you will lead the sourcing, management and development of high-quality geospatial data and products. You will enable project teams and clients to effectively visualize, interrogate and interpret spatial information, supporting robust decision-making and reporting.

In this role, you will proactively identify opportunities to enhance and streamline geospatial workflows, driving efficiency and innovation across project delivery. As part of a center of technical excellence, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, standards and best practices.

    Integration Collaboration

    • Integrate GIS with engineering and environmental workflows, CAD/BIM, databases (SQL), APIs, and digital data capture.
    • Work with project managers and discipline leads to align GIS scope, interfaces, resources, and deliverables to broader program objectives; act as GIS/Data Lead on larger or more complex programs.

    Requirements

    • Degree in GIS/geospatial science, environmental/data science, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
    • Typically 2-8+ years of applied geospatial delivery within consultancy or multidisciplinary environments.
    • Demonstrated experience leading geospatial delivery within environmental, planning, and/or infrastructure programs.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex requirements into actionable technical plans.
    • Demonstrable experience with quality, metadata, governance, and security practices within enterprise geospatial environments.
    • Proficiency in English, verbal and written, with emphasis on technical GIS communication (CVs must be submitted in English).

    • Experience Builder / Web Experience, dashboards/visualization.

    Preferred/Desirable

    • Chartered professional status (e.g., CGeog, GISP) or equivalent senior technical accreditation.
    • Substantial Environment sector experience spanning linear infrastructure, offshore/onshore wind, solar, CCS, hydrogen, nuclear, airports, marine, master planning, permitting EIA.
    • Experience working on UK projects, including familiarity with UK standards, regulations, and delivery contexts.
