Geography Content Editor | Kolkata

Job Description:

We are looking for experienced candidates passionate about content editing and review of school books and learning material related to the K12 curriculum, and 4-7 years of experience in content editing. A very good knowledge of the English language and great proficiency in written English is a must. An academic background in Geography is also a must, with good grades. The candidate should be a subject matter expert in Social Science (History, Geography and Civics).

Mandatory Skills:

• A sound knowledge of English grammar and language
• An academic degree in and sound knowledge of Social Science subjects
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• An eye for detail
• Good at spotting and correcting errors
• Able to conduct meaningful research and cross-check facts in order to review the content
• Familiar with basic content editing styles
• Familiar with editing PDF and word soft copies, with PDF tools and track changes

Eligibility:

• Should have a Masters degree in Geography/Social Science
• Should have proven experience in editing, particularly in the publishing and EdTech industry
• Should be passionate about content editing and research
• Should be familiar with school education and school textbooks
• Should be eager to learn and quick to absorb knowledge
• Should have a proven expertise in the English language
