Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled General Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care to patients. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing surgical conditions, performing procedures, managing pre- and post-operative care, and ensuring high standards of patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose patients requiring surgical intervention.
• Perform general surgical procedures safely and effectively.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and determine appropriate surgical plans.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery.
• Manage surgical emergencies and provide timely intervention.
• Conduct regular patient consultations and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with physicians, anaesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records, surgical notes, and medical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection-control standards, and clinical protocols.
• Counsel patients and their attendants regarding procedures, risks, recovery, and follow-up care.
• Participate in emergency duties and on-call services as required.

Qualifications

• MBBS + MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
• Valid medical registration.
• Relevant experience in General Surgery preferred.
• Strong clinical and surgical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
