General Physician (MD/DNB Medicine)

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnose acute/chronic medical conditions in adults.
• Prescribe and manage pharmacological therapies, lifestyle interventions, and referrals based on clinical guidelines.
• Perform routine procedures such as ECGs, BP monitoring, wound dressings, and minor surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with specialists for multidisciplinary care and ensure smooth patient handoffs and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate, compliant EMR documentation and participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate patients and caregivers on disease prevention, medication adherence, and health promotion strategies.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• MD/DNB in Medicine (recognized by NMC)
• Valid NMC registration
• ACLS certification
• Experience in outpatient/internal medicine practice
• Proficiency in using EMR systems
• Strong diagnostic acumen for common adult medical conditions

Preferred

• Experience in diabetes, hypertension, or geriatric medicine management
• Familiarity with teleconsultation platforms
• Membership in professional medical associations (e.g., IMA)
