General Manager

We are looking for an experienced General Manager Manufacturing & Operations to lead the overall operations of our manufacturing unit at Baikampady, Mangalore.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in steel/sheet manufacturing, roofing sheets, PEB, structural steel, sheet-metal fabrication or related engineering manufacturing industries, with proven experience in plant and production management.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for plant and manufacturing operations.
• Lead Production, Maintenance, Quality, Stores and Dispatch functions.
• Plan and monitor production schedules, productivity and capacity utilization.
• Ensure effective manpower planning and team management.
• Monitor production costs, wastage and operational efficiency.
• Ensure quality standards and timely delivery of products.
• Manage raw materials, inventory and vendor coordination.
• Drive process improvement, cost reduction and productivity initiatives.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Finance and other departments.
• Handle customers, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, statutory and company requirements.
• Prepare operational reports and present performance updates to management.
• Support business growth, expansion and overall profitability of the unit.

Candidate Profile

• 15–25 years of relevant manufacturing/plant operations experience.
• Strong experience in Plant Head / Factory Head / Works Manager / Production Head / Operations Head / GM roles.
• Strong leadership and manpower management skills.
• Good understanding of production planning, quality, cost control and plant operations.
