General Manager - International Logistics

We are looking for an experienced General Manager International Logistics to lead end-to-end import and export operations for pharmaceutical formulations and APIs, ensuring regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and timely global shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end international import/export operations for pharmaceutical formulations and APIs.
• Oversee shipment planning, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and export/import documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations, DGFT requirements, Incoterms, and pharmaceutical logistics standards.
• Manage international freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and customs brokers.
• Optimize logistics costs, negotiate freight rates, and manage budgets.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Planning, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Sales teams.
• Monitor shipment timelines, inventory movement, logistics costs, and vendor performance through MIS reports.
• Lead the logistics team and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
• MBA in Supply Chain Management or International Business preferred.

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of experience in international logistics, import/export, or global supply chain management.
• Strong experience in pharmaceutical formulations and API logistics is essential.
• Expertise in customs clearance, freight forwarding, international trade documentation, and Incoterms.
• Strong vendor negotiation, cost optimization, leadership, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical handling standards and GDP principles.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates from pharmaceutical companies, API manufacturers, formulation companies, or pharmaceutical export organizations with proven experience in managing global logistics operations will be preferred.
