A deep-tech company developing indigenous quantum and photonic technologies and having successfully completed a seed fund raise of more than 5 million US Dollars, we are entering an exciting phase of growth. We are now looking for a Manager Finance who will work alongside the Founder and leadership team to build a world-class finance organization and help shape the long-term future of the company.

Location: Delhi NCR (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: 2024 LPA

ESOPs: Yes (To be disbursed after two years of continuous service.

Experience: 8–15 Years

Qualification: Chartered Accountant with MBA (Finance) or CA (Preferred) /MBA (Finance)/CFA

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is more than a finance leadership role.

As the Manager Finance, you will work across the diverse domain of building the financial strategy, operational framework, and governance systems required to scale a globally competitive deep-tech company. You will work directly with the Founder on strategic decisions involving fundraising, manufacturing expansion, capital allocation, and long-term business planning.

We are looking for someone who enjoys building organizations from the ground up and wants to play a meaningful role in creating India's next generation of advanced technology companies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC FINANCE

• Develop the company's long-term financial strategy and capital planning.
• Build robust financial models, annual budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and business insights.
• Evaluate investments, manufacturing expansion, and capital expenditure.

FUNDRAISING & INVESTOR RELATIONS

• Lead financial preparation for future fundraising rounds.
• Support investor due diligence and financial data room management.
• Prepare Board presentations, investor reports, and management dashboards.
• Work closely with investors, auditors, banks, and financial institutions.

FINANCIAL OPERATIONS

• Establish scalable financial systems and internal controls.
• Oversee accounting, taxation, payroll, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate annual audits and regulatory filings.
• Manage grant finances, utilization reporting, and government compliance requirements.

BUSINESS LEADERSHIP

• Partner with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and operations.
• Develop financial policies and reporting frameworks to support company growth.
• Build and lead the finance function as the organisation scales.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Chartered Accountant qualification preferred (MBA Finance or CFA with relevant experience will also be considered).
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in finance, preferably within startup or high-growth environments.
• Prior exposure to venture-funded companies and fundraising processes.
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities.
• Excellent understanding of corporate finance, compliance, taxation, and governance.
• Ability to work closely with founders and senior leadership on strategic business decisions.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in deep-tech, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, aerospace, biotechnology, or R&D-driven organisations will be considered an advantage.
