Job Summary

We are seeking a senior, highly accomplished finance professional to lead our overall Finance, Accounting, Working Capital, and Financial Compliance operations. Operating out of Hyderabad, this strategic leadership role encompasses financial governance across our diversified manufacturing portfolio including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs/Bulk Drugs), Finished Dosage Formulations (OSD & Injectables), and Vaccine Manufacturing units.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in pharma unit accounting, cost management, direct/indirect taxation, Treasury, working capital management, SAP implementation/governance, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Management & Leadership

• Drive long-term financial planning, annual budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation across API, Formulations, and Vaccine divisions.
• Provide financial counsel to executive management regarding capital expenditure (CAPEX) for new plant expansions, tech transfers, and clinical batch scale-ups.
• Lead and mentor a multi-tiered team of finance and accounting personnel across corporate office and plant manufacturing sites.

2. Plant Commercial, Costing & Inventory Control

• Oversee standard costing, product margin analysis, yield variance tracking, and batch costing across API, formulation, and biological/vaccine production lines.
• Monitor Raw Material (RM), Packaging Material (PM), and Work-in-Progress (WIP) inventories. Optimize inventory turns and minimize write-offs or batch losses.
• Drive cost optimization, operational efficiency, and yield improvement initiatives alongside the manufacturing and supply chain teams.

3. Financial Accounting, Audit & Compliance

• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts in strict compliance with Ind AS, statutory guidelines, and corporate governance standards.
• Lead internal audits, statutory audits, tax audits, and transfer pricing assessments across all group entities.
• Oversee full spectrum compliance concerning GST, Customs/Import duties (for imported raw materials/equipment), Income Tax, Direct Tax, and DGFT regulations (RODTEP, Advance Authorizations).

4. Treasury, Banking & Working Capital Management

• Maintain relationships with consortium banks, financial institutions, and credit rating agencies.
• Manage working capital, working capital facilities (CC/OD, Buyers Credit, LC, Bank Guarantees), and cash flow forecasting to support uninterrupted production operations.
• Execute foreign exchange (Forex) risk management, hedging strategies, and trade finance for export-import transactions.

5. Systems, SAP & Process Control

• Strengthen internal financial controls (IFC), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and risk mitigation frameworks.
• Lead ERP/SAP (FI-CO modules) optimizations and digital dashboard reporting for real-time visibility into operational KPIs and margins.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualification: CA (Chartered Accountant) is mandatory. Additional qualifications like ICWA (CMA) or MBA (Finance) from a premier institution are desirable.
• Experience: 22 to 35 Years of strong, post-qualification experience with a major focus in the Pharmaceuticals / Biotech / Lifesciences sector.
• Domain Expertise: Prior hands-on exposure to Bulk Drugs (APIs), Formulations, or Vaccine/Biologicals manufacturing operations is required.
• Key Skills:
  
• Expertise in Pharma Costing, Yield Analysis, and Inventory Accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of Ind AS, Direct & Indirect Taxation, GST, and International Transfer Pricing.
• Strong negotiation capabilities with banks and financial bodies for working capital and debt financing.
• Proficiency in SAP (FI-CO) environment.
