General Manager - Finance & Account

Role & responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
• Oversee financial accounting, monthly MIS, financial statements, and statutory compliance.
• Monitor plant costing, including cost per tonne of liquid metal, billets, and finished steel products.
• Control raw material, alloying elements, power, fuel, refractory, and consumable costs.
• Analyse production yield, material losses, inventory valuation, and cost variances.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking facilities, receivables, and payables.
• Oversee GST, taxation, statutory audits, internal audits, and financial controls.
• Monitor CAPEX, project expenditure, fixed assets, and investment appraisals.
• Evaluate product-wise profitability, sales realisation, and cost optimisation opportunities.
• Lead the Finance & Accounts team and coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Sales, and Maintenance.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: CA / CMA preferred; MBA Finance or equivalent qualification may be considered based on organisational requirements.
• Experience: Substantial experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably at a senior leadership level in an integrated steel plant or a similar process-manufacturing industry.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of steel manufacturing processes, plant costing, raw material accounting, inventory management, capital-intensive operations, and financial controls.
