About this role
Company Overview Secure Elements is an automotive cybersecurity engineering company specializing in securing Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) across their entire lifecycle, from design to ongoing operations. Leveraging AI-driven security intelligence, embedded protection, and compliance tooling, Secure Elements provides cutting-edge solutions tailored to the automotive industry. The company’s flagship platform, CRISKLE Workspace, supports comprehensive cybersecurity and risk management in compliance with global regulations like ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE R155/R156. Additionally, Secure Elements offers embedded Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS) and Mobility Security Operations Centre (MSOC) services to detect and mitigate real-time cyber threats. Headquartered in India, Secure Elements collaborates with global partners to enable secure innovation and integration in next-generation mobility ecosystems such as EVs, V2X, and digital twins. Role Overview We are looking for a full-time
AI Engineer who is passionate about building production-grade AI systems for cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and engineering automation. In this role, you will transition concepts into scalable, secure, and deployment-ready software. You will take ownership of designing, implementing, and optimizing architectures involving RAG pipelines, agentic AI systems, MCP servers, and vector databases within complex cyber threat intelligence workflows. Key Responsibilities As an AI Engineer, you will own the development lifecycle and: ● Build, scale, and maintain our core cyber threat intelligence data stores using a mix of relational and vector databases. ● Design and engineer complex structured datasets for CVEs, attack patterns, assets, controls, and technical remediation knowledge bases. ● Develop, evaluate, and scale highly accurate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines tailored for deep cybersecurity and automotive engineering use cases. ● Implement and fine-tune stateful, multi-agent AI workflows for advanced query understanding, multi-step reasoning, contextual retrieval, and automated report generation. ● Build, optimize, and integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to seamlessly expose internal tools, secure data streams, and operational workflows to AI models. ● Create robust, secure APIs and backend utility microservices to power AI-driven cybersecurity product features. ● Continuously evaluate, benchmark, and guardrail LLM outputs to guarantee enterprise-grade accuracy, safety, data traceability, and contextual usefulness. ● Collaborate with the core engineering and security teams to research and deploy AI solutions for threat detection, automated vulnerability management, and complex compliance workflows. Required Technical Skills ● Strong proficiency in Python and solid software engineering principles (clean code, version control, testing). ● Proven hands-on experience building architectures involving RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and multi-agent AI orchestration patterns. ● Solid understanding of backend development, RESTful APIs, and database management. ● Strong working familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) alongside vector search engines. ● Deep interest or prior baseline exposure to cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or automotive networks. ● Proven ability to read technical documentation, interpret research, and transform abstract ideas into stable, production-ready systems. Good to Have ● Production experience building high-performance asynchronous APIs using
FastAPI . ● Hands-on engineering exposure to AI orchestration tooling like
LangChain ,
LlamaIndex ,
Ollama , or local open-source LLM deployments. ● Foundational domain knowledge of
CVE frameworks ,
MITRE ATT&CK maps , threat modeling concepts, or security advisories. ● Practical understanding of
MCP (Model Context Protocol) specifications or complex tool-calling mechanics. ● Experience deploying software ecosystems using
Docker containers and managing code pipelines in
Linux environments. What We Offer ● The opportunity to build actual, production-grade AI applications way beyond basic chatbot wrappers. ● Immersion in the elite crossover space of advanced generative AI and enterprise automotive cybersecurity. ● High autonomy to define how explainable, secure, and traceable AI models interact with safety-critical systems. ● Work alongside a dedicated, agile team of founders and senior tech leaders in an innovative startup culture.
