Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy GenAI applications using LLMs, RAG, and AI agent frameworks.
- Build end-to-end RAG pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, indexing, semantic search, and retrieval optimization.
- Integrate commercial and open-source LLMs and implement prompt engineering, structured outputs, function calling, and tool integrations.
- Develop scalable REST APIs and backend services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
- Optimize AI application accuracy, performance, latency, and cost while implementing appropriate guardrails and security measures.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on cloud platforms, following software engineering best practices, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable GenAI solutions.
Required Technical Skills
- Experience: 5+ years in software development, with hands-on experience in GenAI, LLMs, or AI/ML applications.
- Programming: Strong Python skills, object-oriented programming, and API development.
- GenAI & LLMs: Experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG architecture.
- Frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or equivalent.
- LLM Platforms: OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or open-source LLMs.
- Vector Databases: Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma, Milvus, or equivalent.
- Databases: Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Azure, or GCP; familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to Have Power Transmission & Communication Protocols
- Understanding of power transmission systems, including transmission lines, substations, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, protection relays, and substation automation.
- Familiarity with SCADA, Energy Management Systems (EMS), Substation Automation Systems (SAS), IEDs, RTUs, grid monitoring, fault analysis, and asset maintenance.
- Knowledge of IEC 61850, including its architecture, logical nodes, MMS, GOOSE, Sampled Values (SV), and Substation Configuration Language (SCL) files such as ICD, CID, IID, and SCD.
- Familiarity with other communication protocols, including IEC 60870-5-101/104, Modbus TCP/IP/RTU, DNP3, and OPC UA, as well as TCP/IP, Ethernet, and NTP/PTP time synchronization.
- Exposure to transmission utility data, such as relay event records, fault reports, equipment health records, maintenance logs, substation alarms, and engineering documents.
- Understanding of GenAI use cases in power transmission, including technical document search, IEC 61850 configuration document analysis, alarm and fault report summarization, and AI-powered maintenance and troubleshooting assistants.
