Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior GCP Java Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in designing and developing cloud-native applications using Java and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires hands-on experience in microservices architecture, modern software engineering practices, cloud deployment, and enterprise-scale application development.

The candidate will work closely with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable cloud-native applications using Java technologies and Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and enterprise application services.
• Utilize GCP services to develop robust, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with solution architects and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Implement automated build, deployment, and monitoring processes using DevOps best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective root-cause analysis.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and coding standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Java 8/11/17
• Hands-on expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices Architecture
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with:
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Cloud Run
• Pub/Sub
• BigQuery
• Cloud Storage
• Cloud Functions
• Dataflow
• Strong understanding of RESTful API development
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies
• Proficiency in Git, Maven, Jenkins, and related development tools
• Strong SQL and database development experience

Professional Experience

• 8 to 10 years of software development experience
• Experience developing and deploying enterprise-grade cloud applications
• Exposure to large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
• Experience working within Agile development environments

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Kafka or other messaging platforms
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Cloud security and governance knowledge
• Observability and monitoring tools experience
• Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or Payments domain environments
