GCP Administrator / GCP Lead / GCP Architect with strong hands-on expertise in
Google Cloud Platform administration, infrastructure, security, networking, and cloud operations . The ideal candidate should have thorough knowledge of GCP administration and the ability to
lead and guide a team working on GCP infrastructure and cloud resources . This is
not primarily a DevOps role . The client is specifically looking for a professional with deep, practical experience in
GCP administration and cloud infrastructure management , along with the ability to drive technical teams and ensure reliable, secure, and compliant GCP operations.

Level: Lead / Architect Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage
GCP infrastructure administration and operations across enterprise environments.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams working with GCP resources.
- Design, implement, configure, and manage GCP infrastructure based on business and technical requirements.
- Administer and troubleshoot
Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, networking, and related GCP services .
- Define and enforce GCP infrastructure, security, access control, and operational best practices.
- Manage GCP environments, projects, organizations, folders, service accounts, and resource hierarchy.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to resolve GCP-related issues.
- Monitor cloud environments and proactively identify performance, availability, capacity, and security issues.
- Support cloud security, compliance, governance, and audit requirements within the GCP environment.
- Use
Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Provide technical direction to team members and ensure adherence to GCP administration standards.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, access, compute, and storage issues.
- Support cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, and GCP adoption initiatives.
- Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
- Work with CI/CD and engineering teams where required to support deployment and infrastructure automation. Required Technical Skills Google Cloud Platform – Mandatory Strong hands-on experience with:

- GCP monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting Infrastructure as Code
- Strong experience with
Terraform
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
- Terraform modules, variables, state management, and remote state
- Infrastructure provisioning and configuration automation Linux / Unix Administration
- Good knowledge of
Linux/Unix system administration
- Server configuration and troubleshooting
- Process, memory, CPU, disk, and network troubleshooting

- Familiarity with
CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of automated build, deployment, and infrastructure processes
- Exposure to tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar is desirable. Leadership & Architecture Skills The successful candidate should be able to:
- Act as a
GCP technical lead / SME for the organization.
- Guide and mentor engineers working with GCP.
- Review GCP infrastructure designs and provide technical recommendations.
- Establish GCP administration standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex GCP infrastructure issues.
- Coordinate with multiple technical teams and stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and secure GCP infrastructure solutions.
- Drive operational excellence, reliability, security, and cost optimization across GCP environments. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience working in
Healthcare / Healthcare IT environments.
- Experience with enterprise-scale GCP environments.
- Knowledge of GCP AI/ML services or
Vertex AI is a plus.
- Experience with cloud migration and modernization projects.
- Exposure to GCP organization-level governance and landing zones.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and resource governance.
Note: GCP AI / Vertex AI experience is considered a
plus but is not mandatory . The primary requirement is strong, hands-on
GCP administration and infrastructure expertise . Important Client Requirement The client is specifically looking for a candidate with
thorough working experience in GCP administration who can independently manage GCP resources and
drive a team working with GCP . This is
not a DevOps-focused position where the candidate has only worked with GCP as part of a broader DevOps role . Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of actual GCP administration, including compute, storage, networking, IAM, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, and infrastructure management. Candidates with a strong
GCP Administrator / GCP Infrastructure / GCP Cloud Engineer / GCP Architect background are preferred. A DevOps background may be considered only when accompanied by
deep, hands-on GCP administration experience . Ideal Candidate Profile
