GCP Infra Architect - S

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop cloud architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on-premises and other cloud platforms to GCP.
• Architect highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments.
• Design and implement networking solutions including VPCs, Hybrid Connectivity, VPNs, Interconnect, Load Balancers, and DNS services.
• Define and enforce cloud governance, security controls, and compliance frameworks.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and other automation tools.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Development, and Operations teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Design backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership across cloud projects.
• Mentor engineering teams on GCP best practices and cloud adoption strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, or Solution Architecture.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing GCP solutions.
• Strong expertise in GCP core services, including:
• Compute Engine
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Cloud Storage
• Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
• Cloud DNS
• Cloud Load Balancing
• Cloud SQL
• Cloud Functions
• BigQuery
• IAM
• Experience in cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and operations.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancing, and Hybrid Connectivity.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, and governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and DevOps methodologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
