GCP Data Engineer

Job Opportunity – GCP Data Engineer (6+ Years Experience) Location: Pune (Preferred)

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 Days/Week from IntraEdge Pune Office Experience: 6+ Years We are hiring an experienced GCP Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize large-scale cloud-native data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale data engineering projects involving real-time and batch data processing. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines on GCP.
• Build data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
• Design and optimize data models in BigQuery for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads.
• Develop highly scalable solutions using Cloud Spanner.
• Build data integration frameworks for structured and unstructured data.
• Optimize data processing for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, data scientists, business teams, and DevOps engineers.
• Implement CI/CD, monitoring, security, and cloud governance best practices.
• Troubleshoot and support production data pipelines. Required Skills
• 6+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in GCP Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Google Cloud Dataflow
• Google Cloud Dataproc
• Google Cloud Pub/Sub
• BigQuery
• Cloud Spanner
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with Apache Spark, ETL/ELT frameworks, and distributed data processing.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and cloud architecture.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and monitoring tools.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills
• GCP Professional Data Engineer Certification.
• Experience with Kafka, Airflow/Cloud Composer, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines and modern data lakehouse architectures. Interview Process
• 3–4 rounds of interviews.
• One interview round will be conducted in person at the Pune office, and candidate presence is mandatory.
