Gcp Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using GCP-native services (Dataflow, Cloud Composer, BigQuery, Cloud Storage).
• Write and optimize SQL queries and basic Python/PySpark scripts for data processing tasks.
• Support unit testing, data validation, and troubleshooting of pipeline failures.
• Assist in documenting technical designs, data flows, and runbooks.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint ceremonies, reporting progress and blockers to the team lead.

Required Skills

• 3 +years of experience in data engineering or a related technical role.
• Working knowledge of at least one GCP data service (BigQuery, Dataflow, or Cloud Composer).
• Proficiency in SQL; basic to intermediate Python scripting.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and relational data modeling.
• Familiarity with Git/version control and Agile delivery practices.
