GCP Data Engineer (Production Support Analyst)

Role Overview

We are looking for a GCP Data Engineer / Production Support Analyst with 3 to 6 years of experience and strong hands-on experience in GCP, EDM, SQL, Python, PySpark, and Airflow. The candidate will be responsible for supporting data engineering solutions in a production environment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operation of data workflows. This role requires flexibility to work in a 24x7 production support environment with rotational shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for GCP-based data engineering applications and pipelines.
• Support and troubleshoot data workflows involving GCP, EDM, SQL, Python, PySpark, and Airflow.
• Monitor production data pipelines and investigate failures or data-processing issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and recurring technical issues.
• Perform data validation and analysis using SQL and Python.
• Support PySpark-based data processing workloads and workflows.
• Monitor and support Airflow-based data pipelines/workflows.
• Coordinate with development and support teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in incident analysis and contribute to maintaining stable production systems.

Required Skills

• 3 to 6 years of relevant Data Engineering / Production Support experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP.
• Hands-on experience with EDM.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark.
• Experience working with Apache Airflow.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 production support environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

Shift & Work Requirements

• Candidate must be flexible to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
• Shift rotations may occur approximately every 12 months.
• This is a 5-day working role, but working days are not necessarily fixed Monday to Friday and may vary depending on the support environment.
• Flexibility for a 24x7 production support model is mandatory.

Locations: Bangalore / Chennai / Hyderabad / Pune / Vadodara

Shift: 24x7 Rotational Shift in Hybrid model
