GCP Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer with 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, security, compliance, and audit readiness. The candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) along with a good understanding of BFSI audits, compliance requirements, and audit documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable GCP cloud infrastructure.
• Manage GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, VPC, IAM, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and KMS.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure follows security, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Coordinate and support BFSI and internal/external audits.
• Prepare, maintain, and provide audit-related documentation, evidence, policies, SOPs, reports, and compliance records.
• Understand audit observations, coordinate with relevant teams, and support timely closure of audit findings.
• Maintain proper documentation for access controls, change management, incident management, backup/DR, security controls, and cloud configurations.
• Work closely with Information Security, Risk, Compliance, IT, and application teams to meet regulatory and business requirements.
• Monitor cloud security, performance, availability, and compliance posture.
• Participate in risk assessments, vulnerability management, and security reviews.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and evidence are maintained for recurring audits and assessments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT/Cloud experience, with strong experience in GCP.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of GCP architecture, networking, IAM, security, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
• Good understanding of BFSI regulatory and compliance environments.
• Experience supporting audits and compliance assessments.
• Strong understanding of audit documentation and evidence preparation.
• Good knowledge of cloud security, access management, encryption, logging, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage audit-related requirements independently.

Good to Have

• GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect / Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, banking, or payments.
