Domain: Information Technology (IT) About the Role Our client is seeking a talented
Game Developer (Java / libGDX) to join their innovative team on a contract basis. In this role, you will apply your game development expertise to help train next-generation AI systems by developing engaging 2D game features. Your work will directly influence how AI models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world game development input.
No prior experience in AI is required —your expertise in Java and game development is what matters most. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize simple 2D game features using
Java and the
libGDX framework.
- Collaborate closely with AI specialists to design engaging game interactions and generate high-quality AI training data.
- Implement fundamental game mechanics, including:
- Game loops
- Sprite management
- Input handling
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and best practices.
- Document technical processes, workflows, and development practices clearly for cross-functional teams.
- Communicate effectively with distributed team members by providing regular updates and actively seeking feedback.
- Work collaboratively in a fully remote development environment. Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Basic knowledge of
Java programming and
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Hands-on experience with
libGDX through:
- Coursework
- Personal projects
- Academic assignments
- Game prototypes
- Understanding of fundamental game development concepts, including:
- Game loops
- Sprites
- Input management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a fully remote team.
- Demonstrated passion and initiative for building games or interactive applications.
- Willingness to complete an
AI interview as part of the hiring process.
- Resume/CV must be uploaded in PDF format only. Preferred Qualifications Candidates with any of the following will have an added advantage:
- Portfolio showcasing small games, prototypes, or demo projects.
- GitHub repository links or playable demos.
- Familiarity with:
- Vectors
- Collision detection
- Basic 2D physics
- Experience using
Git for version control and collaborative development. Work Schedule The contract duration will be
3–6 months , depending on project requirements. Candidates can choose one of the following work schedules:
- Part-Time: 20 hours per week
