Furniture Production & Factory Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily factory operations, including carpenters, helpers, labourers and other production staff.
• Allocate daily tasks to workers and monitor their productivity and work progress.
• Coordinate with the Interior Design Team, Furniture Design Team and HOD regarding production requirements, drawings, specifications and work schedules.
• Understand furniture drawings, dimensions, designs and technical specifications to ensure accurate execution.
• Possess working knowledge of furniture materials such as plywood, MDF, HDHMR, laminates, veneer, hardware, fittings and other woodworking materials.
• Monitor furniture manufacturing, carpentry, assembly, installation preparation and finishing activities.
• Ensure that production work is completed within the given timelines and according to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate with the purchase and store teams regarding raw materials, hardware, tools and other production requirements.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day production issues and communicate delays or challenges to the HOD.
• Monitor material utilisation and minimise wastage of materials.
• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment and machinery, along with adherence to factory safety practices.
• Maintain daily production updates, manpower records, work status and pending activity reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
