Furniture Designer

Location: Sahibabad, Ghaziabad Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the furniture and interior industry, with the ability to manage projects from client discussions and site assessments through to design finalisation and execution support. This role requires a strong understanding of furniture design, space planning, materials, measurements, BOQ preparation, and client coordination. The candidate will regularly visit client sites, develop customised furniture solutions, prepare technical drawings, and support project execution. Key Responsibilities Design customised furniture solutions based on client requirements, site, and project objectives. Develop detailed furniture layouts, elevations, and production-ready drawings. Prepare civil and furniture drawings for client approvals and execution teams. Create space-efficient, aesthetically pleasing designs while adhering to functional requirements. Conduct site visits for project assessment and measurement verification. Analyse room dimensions, layouts, and site constraints to ensure accurate design planning. Coordinate with clients and execution teams to resolve site-related design challenges. Interact directly with clients to understand requirements, preferences, budgets, and timelines. Present design concepts and modifications based on client feedback. Finalise project specifications and scope with clients. Prepare and finalise Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in consultation. Generate material specifications, quantity estimates, and project documentation. Ensure accuracy in measurements, costing inputs, and material requirements. Recommend suitable materials, finishes, hardware, and construction methods for furniture projects. Prepare detailed technical drawings and design documentation using industry-standard software. Utilise Infurnia for furniture design, space planning, and project documentation. Ensure all drawings meet execution and manufacturing requirements. Requirements Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualification in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or a related field. 2–5 years of relevant experience in furniture design, modular furniture, interiors, or a related industry. Experience in a client-facing role with exposure to project discussions and requirement gathering. Strong knowledge of furniture design principles and space planning. Ability to conduct accurate site measurements and layout analysis. Experience in preparing and finalising BOQs. Understanding of furniture materials, finishes, hardware, and manufacturing processes. Ability to prepare civil drawings and technical design documentation. Proficiency in Infurnia. Good communication and presentation skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in modular kitchen furniture, residential interiors, commercial interiors, or custom furniture projects. Prior exposure to coordinating with production teams, vendors, and installation teams. Experience handling end-to-end furniture projects from concept to execution.
