Job Summary
Serve as a senior Functional Consultant specializing in SAP EPM and SAP PaPM for hybrid work model engagements designing and optimizing enterprise performance processes that support research and development and regulatory compliance objectives. Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate complex regulatory and innovation requirements into robust scalable solutions that enhance strategic decision making and operational efficiency across the organization.
Responsibilities
Design and optimize SAP EPM and SAP PaPM functional solutions that align enterprise performance processes with research and development and regulatory compliance objectives while ensuring consistency and accuracy of financial and operational data across the organization.Collaborate with business stakeholders from research and development and compliance functions to gather detailed requirements and translate them into clear SAP EPM and SAP PaPM configurations that improve transparency and control over critical innovation and regulatory workflows.Configure and validate SAP PaPM on cloud and on premise environments to support complex profitability and performance modeling scenarios that enable business teams to evaluate research investments and regulatory obligations with greater insight and confidence.Provide expert guidance on integrating SAP EPM and SAP PaPM with upstream and downstream systems so that planning budgeting forecasting and performance analytics processes remain synchronized and reliable for decision makers.Develop and document end to end functional designs including process maps configuration specifications and test scenarios that reflect best practices for research and development portfolio management and regulatory compliance reporting.Execute and oversee comprehensive testing cycles including functional testing integration testing and user acceptance testing to ensure that SAP EPM and SAP PaPM solutions meet business expectations and perform reliably in hybrid work and day shift environments.Support business users through detailed training sessions and continuous knowledge transfer so that teams working in research development and compliance can effectively use SAP EPM and SAP PaPM tools to monitor performance and meet regulatory obligations.Analyze existing performance management and compliance processes to identify improvement opportunities and recommend targeted SAP EPM and SAP PaPM enhancements that reduce manual effort and strengthen governance and audit readiness.Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to plan and deliver functional work packages on time and within scope while maintaining clear communication around risks dependencies and mitigation actions related to SAP EPM and SAP PaPM initiatives.Provide ongoing functional support and issue resolution for SAP EPM and SAP PaPM solutions in production environments ensuring that incidents are diagnosed accurately and root causes are addressed through sustainable process or configuration adjustments.Document reusable templates calculation logic and configuration patterns within SAP PaPM and SAP EPM so that future projects and enhancements can be delivered efficiently and consistently across different business units and geographies.Advise stakeholders on how SAP EPM and SAP PaPM insights can be used to make informed decisions about research investment tradeoffs and compliance strategy thereby contributing to long term business resilience and positive societal impact through responsible innovation.Coordinate with security and audit teams to validate that SAP EPM and SAP PaPM configurations and processes support regulatory compliance needs including appropriate data access controls traceability of changes and accurate reporting of obligations.Qualifications
