About the Role We are looking for a high-ownership SDE II – Full Stack Engineer who can drive medium-to-complex feature delivery end-to-end with strong engineering discipline and business alignment. This role demands a blend of technical depth, product thinking, and execution excellence. You will act as the technical backbone of the pod—delivering predictable outcomes, mentoring junior developers, and leveraging AI and automation to significantly improve engineering efficiency.
Mission Statement Drive end-to-end delivery of medium-to-complex features with
80%+ sprint predictability , maintain clean and scalable architecture, mentor junior engineers, and achieve
50% quarterly efficiency gains through process optimization and AI leverage.
Key Outcomes (Scorecard) 1. Predictable Feature Delivery
- Achieve
80%+ sprint commitment accuracy with well-justified spillovers
- Own features end-to-end (design → development → deployment → monitoring)
- Improve sprint velocity quarter-over-quarter through effective planning and backlog management
2. Clean Architecture & Code Quality
- Own
2–3 critical components with defined SLAs (success rate, latency, reliability)
- Ensure zero regression within committed scope
- Follow SOLID principles and maintain highly readable, scalable, and maintainable code
3. Incident Ownership & Stability
- Lead RCA for incidents and implement at least
1 preventive improvement per quarter
- Respond proactively to production issues with clear diagnosis and communication
- Maintain runbooks and balance support with feature delivery
4. Mentorship & Team Development
- Mentor
2–4 junior engineers with structured growth plans and measurable progress
- Establish strong code review practices and AI usage guidelines
- Conduct structured technical interviews and contribute to hiring quality
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Ownership
- Directly collaborate with Product Managers (minimal dependency on reporting managers)
- Actively contribute to sprint planning, roadmap discussions, and technical decision-making
- Challenge requirements with data-backed reasoning and propose better alternatives
- Lead cross-team feature delivery involving 2–3 teams
- Present demos and updates to leadership and stakeholders
6. AI-Driven Efficiency
- Achieve
50% QoQ efficiency gains through AI tools and automation
- Identify engineering bottlenecks and implement measurable improvements
- Use AI responsibly with full understanding of generated code and outputs
7. Cross-Team System Ownership
- Define API/event contracts, versioning, and backward compatibility
- Plan staged rollouts and failure isolation strategies
- Manage dependencies across pods and third-party integrations
8. Testing & Release Excellence
- Define pragmatic testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E)
- Ensure thorough validation before staging (edge cases, failure scenarios)
- Reduce QA escalations through strong engineering ownership
- Maintain release checklists and performance benchmarks
Core Competencies
- End-to-end feature ownership from requirement clarification to production monitoring
- Strong product thinking: understands business impact, feasibility, and trade-offs
- Expertise in:
- Frontend: React, TypeScript, state management
- Backend: Node.js / Django / Java / Go
- Databases: SQL/NoSQL, optimization, concurrency handling
- Cloud: AWS / Azure / GCP
- CI/CD and system design fundamentals
- Ability to design scalable systems with clean architecture and strong observability
- Excellent debugging, testing, and performance optimization skills

- Hands-on experience using AI tools for coding, debugging, and productivity improvement
