Fullstack Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Primary objective: Design and deliver secure, scalable and maintainable DocTutorials product capabilities across backend, frontend, data and AI integrations.

1. Full Stack Product Engineering

• Design and build backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Build responsive, accessible web experiences using React and Next.js.
• Design reliable database models, integrations, caching and asynchronous processing.
• Own feature delivery from technical design through deployment and production validation.

2. AI-enabled Development

• Integrate LLM, RAG, semantic-search and agentic capabilities through secure service boundaries.
• Build retrieval, prompt, evaluation and source-traceability flows with AI engineers.
• Review AI-generated code and ensure correctness, security, maintainability and test coverage.
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to improve speed and quality.

3. Engineering Quality and Leadership

• Apply architecture, coding, API, security and observability standards.
• Conduct code and design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Diagnose production defects, performance bottlenecks and integration failures.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Design and Academic teams.
