    About this role

    RGB BUSINESS GROWTH CONSULTING
Job Description: Full-Stack Developer (TypeScript, AI-assisted)

    ROLE SNAPSHOT
Department: Technology (product support and development)
    Reports to: Product Manager
    Direct reports: None
    Location / type: Surat • Office only • Full-time
    Date / version: 16 October 2026 • v1

    ROLE PURPOSE
Keeps every RGB software product running and improving, so clients get bugs fixed fast, questions answered clearly and new features delivered, without the Product Manager being the bottleneck.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    A. Bugs are fixed at the root cause, fast

    • Reproduce and fix client-reported bugs across all products (Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL)
    • Find the real cause instead of patching the symptom
    • Test every fix before it goes live
    • Record each bug with its cause, fix and status

    B. Clients understand how the software works

    • Answer client questions on how features work
    • Explain what went wrong and what the fix is, in plain language
    • First 23 months: the Product Manager joins the call. After that: handle most queries alone

    C. New features are built correctly and on time

    • Build small and medium feature requests using Claude Code every day
    • Check AI-written code before release
    • Agree scope and delivery date with the Product Manager before starting

    D. Client data is correct and safe

    • Write and run PostgreSQL queries to check and correct data
    • Take a backup before changing live data
    • Flag data risks to the Product Manager straight away

    E. The Product Manager always knows the status

    • Give a short daily update: fixed, pending, at risk
    • Raise delays early, before the client asks
    • Keep simple notes on fixes and how features work

    KEY RESULTS (KPIs)

    • Critical bugs (product down or wrong data) fixed: within 1 working day
    • Normal bugs fixed: within 3 working days
    • Bugs reopened after being fixed: under 10%
    • Client queries answered: same working day
    • Small features delivered on the agreed date: 80% or more

    DECISION AUTHORITY

Decide alone (routine calls within limits):

    • Fix bugs in existing code and release small fixes after testing
    • Run read-only queries on live data
    • Answer client questions on how existing features work
    • Choose how to fix a bug or build a small feature

Decide, then inform (owns the call, but keeps the Product Manager posted):

    • Correct live data after a backup
    • Give a client a fix date for a bug
    • Pause a feature to handle an urgent bug
    • Inform the Product Manager the same day

Escalate first (strategy, big spend, key people):

    • Promise a client a new feature, price or deadline
    • Change the overall architecture of a product
    • Change the structure of a live database
    • Delete live data
    • Change login, access or payment features
    • Add new tools or paid services
    • Share code or client data outside RGB

    REPORTING & RHYTHM
    Reports to: Product Manager
    Direct reports: None
    Meetings:

    • Daily 10-minute update with the Product Manager
    • Weekly review of open bugs and feature requests
    • Client calls (the Product Manager joins for the first 2–3 months)

SUCCESS IN THE FIRST 90 DAYS
By Day 30: Knows the main features and setup of every product. Fixes bugs with Claude Code and reports daily. Joins client calls with the Product Manager.
By Day 60: Fixes most bugs without help; the Product Manager only reviews. Has answered client queries on calls with the Product Manager present. Has delivered the first small features.
By Day 90: Handles most client queries alone, and the Product Manager no longer joins calls. Bug and feature list is always up to date. Delivers small features on the agreed dates.

    THE RIGHT PERSON

    Must-have traits:

    • Calm and clear with non-technical clients
    • Owns a problem until it is fixed at the root
    • Uses AI tools openly, every day

    Must-not-have traits:

    • Resists AI tools or insists on writing everything by hand
    • Patches symptoms, blames others or says “it works on my machine”
    • Avoids client conversations or is hard to reach

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • 2–4 years of experience in Next.js, NestJS and PostgreSQL (TypeScript)
    • Comfortable fixing code written by others, including AI-written code
    • Understands how business processes become software: how data moves between screens, tables and users. Can design the flow for a feature with the Product Manager, and question a design that has gaps. The Product Manager owns the overall architecture.
    • Already uses Claude Code, Cursor or similar tools
    • Good PostgreSQL basics: queries, joins, tables and relations
    • Good to have: Java, deploying and monitoring live apps, direct client support
