Lead Full Stack (AI) Engineer who can operate as a senior individual contributor, drive engineering excellence, and help shape the future of AI-native recruiting products.

Role Overview As a Lead Full Stack (AI) Engineer, you will work directly on production systems, architecture decisions, and product development while mentoring engineers and raising the overall quality bar. You will build end-to-end product experiences across frontend and backend systems while leveraging modern AI-assisted development workflows. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on coding, technical leadership, product thinking, and building AI-powered software at scale without moving into people management.

Key Responsibilities Full Stack Product Development

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end product features across frontend and backend systems.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications using React and modern backend technologies.
• Build APIs, services, integrations, and workflows that power AI-native recruiting experiences.
• Take ownership of product functionality from design through production deployment.

Technical Leadership

• Drive architecture discussions, system-design decisions, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, debugging support, technical guidance, and design discussions.
• Establish high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and delivery discipline.
• Influence engineering direction while remaining deeply involved in implementation.

Backend & Platform Engineering

• Build and optimize backend services using Go, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
• Design scalable APIs, data flows, and service architectures.
• Improve reliability, observability, monitoring, and performance across production systems.
• Support infrastructure and platform improvements that enable rapid product development.

AI-Native Product Development

• Contribute to AI-powered recruiting workflows across sourcing, outreach, screening, scheduling, and hiring automation.
• Build and enhance agentic workflows, autonomous product experiences, and AI-driven user journeys.
• Support evaluation, monitoring, orchestration, and reliability of AI-enabled systems.
• Collaborate on product innovations that leverage modern AI technologies.

AI-Assisted Engineering

• Utilize AI development tools such as Codex, Claude Code, and similar platforms to accelerate development.
• Review, validate, test, and harden AI-generated code before production deployment.
• Develop engineering practices that effectively combine human judgment with AI-assisted development.
• Promote responsible and efficient AI-native software engineering workflows.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 6–10 years of software engineering experience with strong recent full-stack development ownership.
• Deep expertise in React and modern frontend engineering practices.
• Strong backend development experience in at least one of Go, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
• Proven experience designing scalable systems and making architecture-level technical decisions.
• Strong coding fundamentals, debugging skills, and software engineering discipline.
• Experience mentoring engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical coaching.
• Product-minded approach with the ability to independently make thoughtful product and engineering decisions.
• Comfortable working in fast-moving startup environments with high ownership and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI-enabled products or AI-powered customer-facing workflows.
• Familiarity with agentic AI systems, autonomous workflows, orchestration frameworks, evaluation pipelines, or AI observability.
• Experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, and modern DevOps practices.
• Prior startup or product-company experience in high-growth environments.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, and engineering quality practices.
