Position Summary Managed Services Engineer I or equivalent As an experienced Managed Services Engineer I at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.
Work you’ll do
- Build, optimize, and maintain web applications using Ember.js (routing, templates, components, services, data flow, performance)
- Collaborate with client/business stakeholders, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements, define/review acceptance criteria, and deliver incremental value.
- Create accessible, responsive user interfaces aligned to design systems; contribute reusable components and UI pattern
- Implement and maintain automated testing (unit/integration/acceptance) using QUnit, Ember Test Helpers, and Ember CLI Mirage (as applicable).
- Participate in code reviews; uphold engineering standards for readability, maintainability, performance, and security.
- Integrate front ends with APIs and data sources using Ember Data (REST/JSON:API and/or GraphQL as applicable), including error handling and caching strategies.
- Implement authentication/authorization patterns (sessions, tokens, route guards) and collaborate with back-end teams on secure integration.
- Participate in Agile delivery (planning, standups, demos, retros) and provide estimates, delivery status, and risk/issue visibility.
- Use GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery while applying human verification, secure coding practices, and IP/data-handling rules.

Our expertise spans the full digital lifecycle, including customer research, experience design, platform development, content production, and marketing automation. Qualifications Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 4 - 4 years of hands-on professional front-end experience, including production experience with Ember.js.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end patterns.
- Solid understanding of Ember fundamentals: Ember CLI, routing, components, services, helpers/modifiers, and state management patterns.
- Proficiency with Git workflows and participation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong automated testing experience with QUnit/Ember testing (writing and maintaining tests).
- Working knowledge of web performance fundamentals (bundle/runtime optimization, rendering performance, asset strategy).
- Working knowledge of accessibility best practices (WCAG/ARIA).
- Experience using code-assist/GenAI tools with an emphasis on correctness, security, and maintainability.
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Experience with TypeScript in Ember applications.
- Familiarity with modern Ember patterns (e.g., Octane, Glimmer components, tracked properties).
- GraphQL experience and/or schema-driven UI development.
- Authentication and secure front-end practices (OAuth/OIDC, JWT/session management; OWASP basics).
- Observability experience (error tracking, logging, performance monitoring, RUM).
- Experience upgrading legacy Ember apps, dependency management, and codemods.
- Participation in AI-assisted development pilots/trainings.
Education:
- BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
