Full Stack Developer

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with 2 to 4 years of experience to design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and modern frontend applications for our client, Datagets, an agentic AI intelligence layer for eCommerce marketing. This is a full-time role based in Chennai with remote flexibility, offering the opportunity to work on high-performance, customer-facing data platforms. You will report directly to the Senior Full Stack Developer (Platform Lead) and contribute across the entire stack from FastAPI backends and data pipelines to React frontends and AWS cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using FastAPI and Python.
• Build and maintain robust server-side applications with Celery and RabbitMQ for async task processing.
• Develop responsive, data-intensive frontend modules using React, TypeScript, TanStack Query and shadcn/ui.
• Integrate with third-party services such as Shopify, Klaviyo and other eCommerce data sources.
• Work closely with the Platform Lead to ensure seamless data flow, API performance and UI reliability.
• Optimise database queries and improve system performance using PostgreSQL.
• Implement and maintain a testing strategy with pytest and vitest to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with the DevOps pipeline for deployment, monitoring and scaling via Docker, Jenkins and AWS.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging and performance tuning across backend and frontend.
• Ensure application security, data protection and compliance standards.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of full stack or backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Experience building REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks such as React and component libraries.
• Hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with or willingness to learn cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2 S3 Lambda).
• Good understanding of Git and version control best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to write testable code and a willingness to learn testing discipline.
• Strong communication skills; you will work in a small team where clarity matters.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in ecommerce or marketing-tech environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Docker containerization.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with Celery, Redis or RabbitMQ for background job processing.
• Exposure to data processing, CSV ingestion or ETL workflows.
