Full Stack Developer (with DevOps)

ABOUT THE ROLE Sort String Solutions LLP is looking for a Full Stack Developer who can build across the entire stack and take ownership of production infrastructure. You will write backend services in Python and Django, build clean frontends, design and optimise MySQL databases, and administer our AWS-hosted Linux servers. Server administration and deployment are a core part of this role, not an afterthought. You will work on SalesPort, our B2B sales force automation and distribution management platform used by FMCG, dairy, and agri businesses across India and Nepal. AI-assisted development is part of how we work — you will build and ship with tools like Claude in your daily workflow.

ABOUT SORT STRING SOLUTIONS We are a B2B technology company building products for the FMCG, dairy, and agri supply chain. Our flagship platform, SalesPort, powers 45 companies across India and Nepal, serving 2.3 lakh+ users and processing over 12 lakh transactions every day. You will join a small, hands-on engineering team where your work goes straight to production.

WHAT YOU WILL DO • Build and maintain web applications end to end — frontend to backend • Develop backend services and REST APIs in Python and Django • Design, optimise, and maintain MySQL databases • Set up, administer, and maintain AWS-hosted Linux servers (a core part of the role) • Own deployments — Nginx, Gunicorn, SSL, networking, and CI/CD pipelines • Apply Docker and DevOps practices: monitoring, automation, and reliable releases • Build and ship using AI development tools (Claude) as part of the daily workflow

MUST-HAVE SKILLS • 2–4 years of hands-on development experience • Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Proficiency in Python and Django • Solid MySQL skills — schema design, queries, and optimisation • Hands-on AWS experience — server administration and deployment • Docker and DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, automation) • Comfort working with AI tools such as Claude • Based in Lucknow or willing to relocate (on-site role)

GOOD TO HAVE • REST API design and scalable architecture • Clean, disciplined Git-based workflows
