About HiWox
HiWox is building a next-generation Personalized Wellness Intelligence Platform that combines healthcare science, structured health data, deterministic algorithms, AI, connected devices and expert knowledge to generate explainable, evidence-backed and personalised wellness intelligence.
Our vision is to build a Healthcare Operating System (HOS) that collects and analyses data across 9 dimensions of wellness and converts it into personalised recommendations, rituals, programs, reminders and dashboards.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Full-Stack App Developer to take ownership of developing HiWoxs application and supporting technology infrastructure, from frontend interfaces to backend services and database architecture.
This is a founding-level role for a developer who can translate product requirements into functional, scalable applications and work closely with healthcare experts, product owners, data scientists and AI engineers to build HiWox from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Application Development: Design, develop and maintain frontend and backend components for HiWoxs mobile and web applications.
- Frontend & User Experience: Build intuitive, responsive interfaces for user onboarding, wellness assessments, personalised dashboards, recommendations, rituals, progress tracking and notifications.
- Backend & API Development: Develop secure backend services, APIs, authentication systems, business logic and integrations to support the platforms core functionality.
- Database Architecture: Design and manage databases and data models for user profiles, wellness assessments, health records, behavioural data, programs and progress tracking.
- Wellness Intelligence Integration: Integrate HiWoxs rule-based algorithms and intelligence systems with the application to deliver explainable, personalised recommendations.
- AI & Agent Integration: Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate AI agents, conversational interfaces and intelligent automation into the product where appropriate.
- Healthcare Data Integration: Develop integrations with smartphone data, wearables, rings, healthcare devices, external APIs and clinical data sources as required.
- Product Feature Development: Build features for assessments, personalised wellness programs, reminders, streaks, video interfaces, user reports and consultant interactions.
- Partner & Captain Workflows: Develop digital workflows for HiWox Captains, healthcare experts and partner organisations, including check-ins, evidence submissions, follow-ups and reporting.
- Security & Privacy: Implement appropriate authentication, access controls, data protection, secure API practices and privacy safeguards for sensitive health information.
- Testing & Deployment: Write and maintain tests, troubleshoot issues, improve application performance and manage deployment, monitoring and maintenance.
- Technical Architecture & Ownership: Contribute to technology selection, code quality, documentation, system architecture and development roadmaps to ensure the platform can scale.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in full-stack application development for mobile and/or web platforms.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React, React Native, Next.js or equivalent technologies.
- Backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Java or similar technologies.
- Experience with REST APIs, databases, authentication and cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of application architecture, Git, testing, debugging and deployment.
- Familiarity with third-party integrations, analytics and notification systems.
- Knowledge of AI/LLM integration or wearable-device APIs is an advantage.
- Interest in HealthTech, wellness technology, healthcare data or personalised digital products.
- Ability to work independently, make technical decisions and take ownership of product delivery.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to build in an early-stage environment.
Engagement Terms
- Equity-based founding position
- Expected commitment of 20-25 hours/week
- Remote / Hybrid
- No fixed salary at the current stage
- Fixed compensation to be introduced after funding and revenue stabilisation
- Equity based on contribution, technical ownership, responsibilities and long-term commitment
- Five-year vesting structure for core founding team equity
What You Will Build
You will help build the core technology platform of HiWox - connecting user-facing applications, backend infrastructure, structured wellness data, rule-based intelligence, AI integrations and partner workflows into one unified ecosystem.
This is an opportunity to take meaningful technical ownership of a HealthTech product from its early development stage and help shape its architecture, functionality and long-term evolution.
