Title: Full Stack AI/ML Engineer (Healthcare, AWS)

Location: Remote (India), Timings: 4:00PM –12:00 PM IST (potential to change slightly 1 hour)

Duration: 6-month contract (might extend, not funded to at this time) Looking for who can join immediate joiners or 1-2 weeks.

Jobs Description: We’re seeking a versatile Full Stack AI/ML Engineer with deep experience architecting, developing, and optimizing production-grade AI/ML solutions on AWS for healthcare organizations. In this hands-on role, you will design and evaluate foundation model applications, implement advanced prompt engineering, and vector search (OpenSearch Serverless, hybrid ranking), and deploy containerized and serverless systems (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, ECS Fargate). You’ll work with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, LOINC, SNOMED, RxNorm), ensure HIPAA compliance, build high-performance APIs (FastAPI, async I/O), and lead the creation of scalable, secure, and well-observed cloud infrastructure. The role includes optimizing ML pipelines, designing rigorous evaluation frameworks, applying security best practices, and contributing to a high-quality engineering culture that delivers reliable healthcare AI solutions.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Python stack (pydantic v2, pandas/polars, FastAPI, boto3, asyncio, prompt engineering)
• Strong, practical AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, ECS Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, AWS CDK)
• Knowledge of vector search, OpenSearch Serverless, k-NN, hybrid ranking, and related ML techniques (scikit-learn, clustering, calibration)
• Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, LOINC, SNOMED, RxNorm) preferred
• 8+ years software engineering, 3+ years building AI/ML systems, with proven record delivering production ML at scale (healthcare/regulated industries strongly preferred)
• Deep commitment to code quality, security (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, OWASP), and engineering best practices
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and self-direction

Preferred:

• Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Claude models, and HIPAA/healthcare security standards
