Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in BigQuery, PySpark, DBT, and Python, with hands-on experience building modern data pipelines, data transformation frameworks, and enterprise data warehouses.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using GCP services.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using PySpark, DBT, and Python.
• Develop and manage data models in BigQuery for analytical and reporting requirements.
• Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and data scientists to understand data requirements.
• Optimize query performance, partitioning, clustering, and storage strategies in BigQuery.
• Automate data engineering processes and deployments using CI/CD practices.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide performance tuning recommendations.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to best practices for cloud data engineering.

Database & Warehousing

• Expertise in BigQuery
• Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
• Data warehouse design and implementation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience working on GCP-based data platforms.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing principles.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
