Frontend Engineer

Job Description:

Neural Hive Technology Limited is looking for a Frontend Engineer with 3D graphics

experience to build interactive browser-based 3D applications for our healthcare technology

platform.

You will work on rendering and manipulating 3D models in the browser, building the

visualisation and interaction tools that professionals use in their daily workflow. This role

combines real graphics programming with product engineering, and suits someone who

enjoys performance-sensitive work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build feature slices using React 19, Vite and TypeScript, with TanStack Router for

type-safe, loader-based route guards.

• Use TanStack Query as the single server-state cache, and Zustand for ephemeral

UI state only no duplicate caching of server data.

• Consume a typed API client generated from the backend's OpenAPI specification

rather than hand-written types that silently drift.

• Extend a token-driven design system where every colour and spacing value comes

from CSS custom properties, so white-labelling for partner clinics stays a token-

override problem.

• Implement RBAC-aware UI using permission hooks and route loaders that gate what

a user sees.

• Handle authentication correctly access token held in memory, httpOnly refresh

cookie, single-flight refresh in the fetch wrapper, never localStorage.

• Integrate the lazy-loaded Babylon.js,Three.js 3D viewer module, where the engine layer has

zero React imports and communicates through an imperative handle.

• Build multi-step intake wizards with draft persistence per-step save, resume and

save-as-draft across sessions.

• Maintain quality gates: bundle-size budgets, WCAG 2 AA accessibility verified with

axe-core, zero TypeScript errors, and end-to-end test coverage of critical flows.

Required Skills:

• React / TypeScript: 3+ years building production React applications, including at

least one large, long-lived app you owned rather than bootstrapped.

• State Management: Strong grasp of server state versus client state, and why putting

API responses in a global store causes pain.

• Data Fetching: Real experience with TanStack Query, SWR or Apollo, including

cache invalidation, optimistic updates and pagination.

• Routing: Modern routing with type-safe params and route-level data loading —

TanStack Router, React Router 6.4+, or Next.js App Router.

• Accessibility: Semantic markup, keyboard navigation and WCAG 2 AA as a habit

rather than an afterthought.

• Performance: Bundle analysis, code splitting, lazy loading, and knowing what

actually causes a re-render.

• Testing: Vitest and Testing Library, plus an end-to-end framework such as

Playwright.

• Git: Version control and collaborative code review.

Good to Have:

• Building or maintaining a design system with design tokens and theming or white-

labelling.

• Complex multi-step forms with draft persistence and schema validation.
• Babylon.js , Three.js or WebGL exposure — you will not build the 3D engine, but you will

integrate it.

• Experience with healthcare, clinical or other regulated UI where a mislabelled field

has consequences.

• Code generation from OpenAPI or GraphQL schemas.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Design or a related

field.

• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills with an attention to detail.
• Care for clinical data: we never fabricate fallback data to make a screen look

populated, and our placeholders instruct rather than demonstrate.
