Frontend Architect (6+ Years Experience) As a Frontend Architect, you’ll lead the technical direction of a next-generation AI design platform used by modern product teams. You’ll work on high-performance frontend systems, architecting large-scale collaborative experiences and solving complex rendering and performance challenges for AI-powered interfaces. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building advanced frontend infrastructure, designing scalable UI architectures, and leading technical execution in high-growth startup environments.

🧩 What You’ll Do ⚡ Frontend Architecture & System Design Own module boundaries, rendering strategies, and frontend extensibility Architect scalable frontend systems for complex, high-performance product experiences Drive technical direction through RFCs, architecture reviews, and engineering standards 🖼️ Complex UI & Performance Engineering Optimize rendering performance for large documents and node-based interfaces Solve memory management and performance bottlenecks in long-running sessions Build responsive, real-time collaborative frontend experiences 🧠 State Management & Data Flow Design scalable state and data flow architectures using modern state management tools Build maintainable systems for handling complex UI interactions and synchronization Ensure predictable, high-performance application behavior at scale 📈 Reliability, Testing & Quality Set high standards for testing, CI pipelines, observability, and release reliability Drive a “zero-regression” engineering culture across the frontend organization Debug production issues and continuously improve platform stability 🤝 Cross-Functional Leadership Partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams on architecture and API decisions Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical workshops, and system design discussions Raise the engineering bar across frontend development practices

✅ You’re a Great Fit If You Have 6+ years of experience building large-scale web applications Have 2–4 years of experience in a Lead or Staff engineering role Are highly proficient in React and TypeScript Have experience building complex UI systems such as canvases, node-based editors, timelines, or multi-pane interfaces Have deep expertise in state management libraries like Zustand, Redux, Recoil, or Jotai Understand frontend performance optimization, rendering bottlenecks, and memory management Can architect scalable frontend systems with long-term maintainability in mind Have strong collaboration and technical leadership skills Have prior startup experience (preferred)
