Freight Business Performance Manager P&L & Commercial MIS - SME

What You Will Do:

• Own the business MIS and profitability view across freight operations
• Analyse revenue, freight cost, buying/selling rates, surcharges, handling, agent costs and other cost components to arrive at true shipment/customer profitability
• Identify margin leakage, incorrect costing, under-pricing, cost overruns and loss-making business
• Analyse P&L by customer, trade lane, origin/destination, carrier, product, salesperson and shipment
• Build management dashboards and reports that answer “What happened, why did it happen and what should we do?”
• Highlight commercially relevant trends and opportunities—not just report numbers
• Bring discipline to data and ensure management has a single, reliable view of freight performance
•  Liaise with IT service provider for System Improvements and correct reports

What We Are Looking For:

• 7–10 years of experience MIS with freight forwarding/logistics recommended
• Strong understanding of Ocean and/or Air Freight economics and operations
• Excellent Excel/MIS capability and comfort working with large datasets
• Strong understanding of revenue, gross margin, contribution and freight cost structures
• Ability to investigate numbers and connect them back to real freight-business drivers
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge business teams with data
