Freelance Translators & Content Reviewers -Multiple Indian Languages

We are looking for experienced and aspiring freelance Translators, Language Reviewers, Editors, and Subject Matter Experts proficient in one or more Indian languages.

Candidates may apply for any of the following roles:

1. Translator Only: Translate educational content from English or Hindi into the selected Indian language, or between other specified language pairs.
2. Content Reviewer Only: Review translated content for linguistic accuracy, grammar, terminology, clarity, and cultural appropriateness.
3. Translator & Reviewer: Undertake both activities, depending on project requirements. Independent review assignments may also be offered.

Languages Required

Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Kashmiri, Konkani, Manipuri (Meitei), Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Nepali, Santali, Sindhi, Kokborok, and other Indian regional and tribal languages.

Candidates proficient in multiple languages are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate educational materials, scripts, textbooks, assessment questions, and digital learning content.
• Review translations for accuracy, readability, and age-appropriate language.
• Maintain subject-specific terminology and consistency.
• Adapt educational content to the linguistic and cultural context of the target audience.
• Review scripts for educational animations, interactive learning modules, and audio narration.
• Coordinate remotely with content development and quality assurance teams.
• Deliver assignments within agreed timelines.

Qualifications and Skills

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Languages, Literature, Education, Humanities, Science, Mathematics, or another relevant discipline.
• Excellent command of at least one Indian language.
• Good understanding of English and/or Hindi.
• Strong reading, writing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with school-level educational content is desirable.
• Teachers, retired teachers, translators, editors, research scholars, and subject experts are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with NCERT, SCERT, or other school curricula will be an advantage.

Experience

Freshers with excellent language proficiency may apply. Experienced translators, reviewers, teachers, and editors will be preferred for specialised assignments.
