Freelance / Part Time Senior Java Developer - Java 21 Spring Boot 4

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with 8 to 10 years of strong hands-on experience to work with us on a part-time / freelance basis.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java 21, Spring Boot 4, REST APIs, Microservices, and MySQL and should be comfortable working independently on backend development, enhancements, bug fixing, performance optimization, and production support.

This is a flexible part-time/freelance opportunity, suitable for an experienced developer who can dedicate a few hours per day or work based on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot 4.

Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services.

Work with MySQL for database design, development, and optimization.

Write efficient and maintainable Java code.

Analyze and fix application bugs and production issues.

Optimize SQL queries and application performance.

Implement new features and enhancements based on project requirements.

Perform code reviews and follow development best practices.

Work independently and provide regular updates on assigned tasks.

Collaborate remotely with the existing development team when required.

Assist with deployment, troubleshooting, and production support when required.

Required Skills

Mandatory:

8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Java development.

Strong knowledge of Java 21.

Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot 4.

Excellent knowledge of REST API development.

Good experience with Microservices architecture.

Strong experience with MySQL and SQL.

Good knowledge of Spring Data JPA / Hibernate.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good communication skills.
