Fpga Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of FPGA-based systems for a variety of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and product engineers to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
• Architect, code, and verify complex RTL designs using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Optimize FPGA designs for power, performance, and area (PPA).
• Perform simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and debugging to ensure system reliability and compliance with specifications.
• Document design specifications, test plans, and validation results.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers on best practices and technical challenges.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and incorporate feedback.

Skill Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Strong understanding of digital design concepts, FPGA architecture, and system integration.
• Experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or equivalent.
• Proven track record in simulation, synthesis, timing closure, and debugging on FPGA platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Other Requirements (Optional)

• Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, etc.).
• Familiarity with embedded processors and SoC architectures.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Tcl, Python, Shell) for automation.
• Experience in product development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Xilinx Certified Developer) are a plus.
