About a minute. You'll make an account on the way through.

    About this role

    About MoveInSync

MoveInSync (MIS) is India's leading B2B enterprise employee transportation SaaS and managed mobility platform,

powering daily commutes and ground travel for 350+ enterprises including many of India's largest IT, GCC, and BFSI

employers. The company operates two core business units ION (SaaS platform, 80%+ gross margins) and ONE

(managed mobility / DCO model with take-rates expanding from 16% toward 23%) — and is on a clear path to a public

    listing (NSE) in FY27.

    Why This Role Exists

MoveInSync is entering its most consequential financial phase — the transition from a private company to a publicly

listed one. Once we project numbers to investors and bankers, those numbers must land. This role exists to be the

control tower for that promise: the person who ensures every forecast is grounded in operational reality, every

variance is caught early, and every projected number is delivered — not explained away.

This is not a traditional FP&A seat that builds internal reports and waits for month-end. This is a forecast assurance

and financial control role — part early-warning system, part course-correction engine. You will own the gap between

what we tell the market and what we actually deliver.

    Role Overview

You will operate across three pillars:

    • Forecast Control & Investor Number Delivery — own the projected P&L, ensure actuals track to forecast at BU and

consolidated level, and flag deviations before they become surprises.

    • Business Finance & Unit Economics — deep analytical command over ION and ONE economics, take-rate

trajectories, gross-margin drivers, and customer-level profitability.

    • IPO & Capital Markets — banker model ownership, DRHP financial disclosures, and investor-presentation

    analytics.

    Key Responsibilities

    Forecast Control & Number Delivery

    • Own the master financial forecast (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) at BU, entity, and consolidated level — this is

the single version of truth for every number projected externally.

    • Run a continuous forecast-vs-actual tracking rhythm — weekly for revenue and key operational KPIs (trips,

vehicles, logos, take rate), monthly for full P&L. Variances are caught in days, not at month-end.

    • Build and operate an early-warning system: if a BU is trending below forecast on any material line, you raise the

flag and drive the cross-functional conversation to close the gap or reset expectations proactively.

    • Own the quarterly re-forecasting cycle — ensure every updated projection is bottoms-up defensible and ties

    cleanly to operational plans.

    • Post-IPO, this becomes the investor guidance function: you are accountable for the company delivering within the

    range communicated to the Street.

    Business Finance & Unit Economics

    • Maintain deep, real-time analytical command over ION (SaaS) and ONE (managed mobility / DCO) economics —

gross margin waterfalls, take-rate decomposition, customer-cohort profitability, and revenue-mix impact.

    • Track the DCO trajectory (vendor-intermediated direct-contracted) and its impact on blended take rates and

margin expansion — this is the core equity story and you must know the numbers cold.

    • Identify and quantify margin leakage — double-pay, under-utilised package vehicles, pricing erosion on renewals

    — and work with Operations and Revenue to close the gaps.

    • Model pricing changes, contract structures, fleet-mix shifts (package trip conversion), and new monetisation

levers with clear P&L impact quantification.

    • Provide rapid, analytically rigorous decision support on deals, renewals, and strategic bets — framed as financial

    impact, not just data.

    IPO & Capital Markets

    • Own the banker financial model end-to-end — respond to BRLM data requests, maintain reconciliation integrity,

and ensure every number in the model ties back to audited financials and management accounts.

    • Support DRHP preparation: restated financials, MD&A narratives, risk factors (financial), KPI disclosures, and Ind

    AS reconciliation schedules.

    • Build and maintain the investor presentation analytics — BU projections, TAM sizing, competitive benchmarking

numbers, and the financial proof points behind the equity story.

    • Coordinate with statutory auditors, company counsel, and the IPO project manager on financial disclosure

    timelines and data accuracy.

    • Develop post-listing IR readiness: quarterly earnings models, peer benchmarking frameworks, analyst Q&A prep,

    and guidance methodology.

    AI-Native Automation & Tooling

    • MoveInSync Finance is a Claude-native department — Claude (Anthropic) is our primary tool for analysis,

modelling, document generation, data processing, and workflow automation. You will be expected to work this

    way from Day 1.

    • Automate repetitive analytical workflows using Claude — variance commentary generation, data extraction and

reconciliation, forecast model updates, board-deck preparation, and ad-hoc analysis.

    • Build and maintain AI-assisted financial control processes: automated variance alerts, forecast-tracking

dashboards, and data-validation checks that run through Claude rather than manual spreadsheet review.

    • Continuously push the frontier of what can be automated — the expectation is that a 3-person FP&A team

powered by Claude should deliver what a 10-person team does manually elsewhere.

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    Must-haves

    • MBA from IIM, ISB, or equivalent tier-1 institution with 8–14 years of experience predominantly in FP&A /

strategic finance — this should be your core career identity, not a recent pivot.

    • Must come from a mid-size, high-growth company (200–2,000 Cr revenue) where you were close to the business

and the leadership — not from a large corporate or GCC finance shared-services setup where FP&A is a

    consolidation exercise disconnected from decision-making.

    • Board-facing experience is essential — you should have prepared and presented (or co-presented) Board / Audit

Committee decks, fielded questions from directors, and operated comfortably in that setting.

    • Obsessive about forecast accuracy — you take it personally when actuals miss projections and you build systems

    so it doesn't happen again.

    • Deep fluency in financial modelling — integrated 3-statement models, DCF, scenario / sensitivity analysis, cohort-

based revenue models. You build models others can audit and trust.

    • Strong understanding of Ind AS (especially Ind AS 115, 116, 102) and how accounting standards map to business

    economics and investor narratives.

    • Ability to translate complex financial data into crisp, decision-ready narratives for Board, CXO, and investor

audiences — not 40-slide decks, but sharp 3-slide stories.

    • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets fluency. Comfort with large datasets, pivot-based analysis, and building models

    that scale.

    • Enthusiastic adopter of AI tools — specifically Claude / LLMs — for financial analysis and automation. You see AI

as a force multiplier, not a novelty.

    Strong differentiators

    • Prior exposure to IPO / capital-markets processes — DRHP preparation, banker interactions, restated financials, or

investor relations. Fundraise experience (PE/VC rounds, debt raises) also valued.

    • Experience in a B2B SaaS or marketplace / managed-services business model with gross-margin and take-rate

    analytics.

    • Familiarity with SEBI ICDR / LODR regulations, ESOP / SBEB treatment in public-market context, and equity-

    restructuring mechanics.

    • Track record of building automated financial workflows — Apps Script, Python, or Claude-based pipelines that

    replaced manual processes.

    • Comfort working directly with external stakeholders — auditors, bankers, legal counsel — without hand-holding.

    What This Role Is Not

    • Not a traditional FP&A manager who consolidates numbers and formats board decks. You own the numbers and

    are accountable for their accuracy.

    • Not a back-office function. You sit at the table with the CFO, CEO, and bankers — your analysis directly shapes

    external commitments.

    • Not a large-team management role. This is a lean, high-leverage team (2–3 analysts) where the leader is hands-on

in the model, not just reviewing others' work.

What Success Looks Like — First 12 Months

    • First 90 days: Fully own the banker model and AOP forecast. Deliver first independent variance analysis with

actionable insights. Complete a BU-level margin deep-dive for ION and ONE. Be fluent in Claude-based workflows.

    • By Month 6: Forecast-vs-actual variance is within 2–3% on all material P&L lines. Financial model is the

undisputed single source of truth for DRHP disclosures. Weekly forecast-tracking rhythm is operational.

    • By Month 12: IPO financial workstream delivered on time and error-free. Post-listing IR framework in place. BU

leaders and the CEO trust FP&A's numbers without re-checking. The CFO sleeps well before earnings.

    Why MoveInSync

    • Category leader — #1 employee mobility platform in India with 350+ enterprise clients and a clear path to

    profitability.

    • Pre-IPO timing — join at the most consequential moment in the company's financial history; own the numbers

    that go to the Street.

    • Direct access to leadership — report to the CFO, work daily with the CEO and Board on the most strategic finance

    workstreams.

    • AI-native finance team — not a department that talks about AI adoption; one that already runs on it. You'll work

with Claude as a core tool, not an experiment.

    • High-autonomy, high-accountability culture — small team, real ownership, zero bureaucracy.
    • Meaningful equity participation — ESOP grant with direct line of sight to a public-market liquidity event.
