Role Description The Founding Software Engineer, Automation & AI will design, build, and maintain core software systems that automate accounting workflows and integrate AI-driven insights into NS Accounting's service offerings. This is a full-time remote role that involves collaborating closely with leadership and accounting professionals to understand operational needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining back-end services and APIs, creating automation pipelines for data processing, and implementing secure, reliable integrations with third-party platforms. The role also involves experimenting with AI tools, improving internal efficiency through software solutions, documenting technical designs, and establishing best practices for software development within a growing engineering function.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, and systems design.
• 5+ years experience.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-ready applications.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their practical application.
• Experience or strong interest in automation, AI/ML tools, and integrating them into business workflows.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, take ownership of technical decisions, and collaborate across non-technical teams.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices, version control (e.g., Git), testing, and continuous integration/deployment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Background or interest in fintech, accounting, or financial systems is a plus.

Salary

12-15 Lakh Annually
