Founding Software Developer MobileApp/Native

The role

You'll be the senior-most engineer at SyncUp, owning product engineering end to end and growing into the CTO role.

Responsibilities

Mobile app

• Own the SyncUp mobile app (React Native) across Android and iOS, from architecture to App Store and Play Store releases
• Set the quality bar: performance, stability, and a smooth experience on mid-range Indian devices

Brand look and feel

• Own how SyncUp looks and feels everywhere on the internet: web app, mobile app, landing pages, public profiles
• Turn designs into pixel-accurate, polished interfaces, and raise the design bar yourself when needed

Backend and infrastructure

• Design and maintain a strong, scalable Node.js backend and APIs
• Own AWS infrastructure: reliability, security, cost efficiency, and readiness for sharp traffic spikes
• Set up monitoring, CI/CD, and engineering practices for a small, fast team

Leadership

• Lead and mentor the engineering team; own hiring as the team grows
• Work directly with the founder on roadmap, priorities, and technical strategy

Requirements

• 2–4 years of product engineering experience, with at least one consumer-facing app shipped to production
• Strong React Native and React/Next.js; solid Node.js
• Working knowledge of AWS and modern deployment practices
• Strong product and design sense, with examples to show
• Experience at an early-stage startup; founder or founding-engineer background is a plus

Compensation

Competitive fixed salary plus meaningful ESOPs, with a defined path to CTO.
