About this role
Founding Product Designer (Intern) — Klarixa AI
Experience: 0–1 Years (Internship)
Location: Bangalore (In-Office)
Employment Type: Full-Time Internship (Potential for Full-Time Conversion based on Performance)
Company : Klarixa AI (a subsidiary of Pharma Tek Solutions, USA)
About Klarixa Klarixa AI is building the intelligence layer for life sciences quality and compliance — the kind of software that turns 6-week deviation investigations into 6-hour ones and makes "inspection-ready every day" an actual operating reality instead of a slogan. We're born out of 26+ years of hands-on GxP auditing, computer system validation, and pharma quality systems. Our founders bring a rare combination of
deep AI/SaaS engineering DNA and frontline life sciences expertise — 200+ audits conducted across FDA, EMA, and MHRA-regulated environments. We don't sell generic AI wrapped in pharma language. We encode regulatory fluency into software, built by people who know exactly what breaks, what gets cited, and what actually works. We're building Klarixa to be in the top 1% of companies in the world — in product, in engineering culture, and in how we ship.
The Role We're hiring a Product Designer Intern who wants to work on the experience layer of a category-defining AI product—not just create screens or redesign existing templates.
As an intern, you'll work directly with the founding team in a lean, high-trust environment. You'll collaborate with product, engineering, and design to solve real user problems, contribute to product decisions, and gain hands-on experience building AI-native enterprise products. This is not a shadowing internship. You'll work on meaningful product problems, receive mentorship from experienced builders, and see your designs go into production.
We encourage interns to leverage modern AI-powered design workflows such as Figma AI, ChatGPT, Claude, and AI prototyping tools to improve productivity and design quality.
What You'll Do
- Assist in designing end-to-end user experiences for AI-powered enterprise workflows.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Help simplify complex business and regulatory workflows into intuitive user experiences.
- Support the creation and maintenance of a scalable design system.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure design feasibility.
- Participate in user research, usability testing, and design iterations.
- Learn about AI-native product design practices, including Agentic AI and RAG-based workflows.
- Present design ideas and incorporate feedback into improved solutions. What We're Looking For
- Candidates must have 6–12 months of prior internship experience with reputed products, SaaS, or technology companies .
- We are currently prioritizing applications from NID, NIFT, IIT IDC, MIT Institute of Design, and other reputed design Institutes.
- Strong portfolio showcasing product thinking, UX process, and UI design skills.
- Good understanding of UX principles, user journeys, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Strong proficiency in Figma , including Auto Layout, Components, and Prototyping.
- Ability to design clean, modern, and user-friendly interfaces.
- Basic understanding of user research and usability testing.
- Familiarity with creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn through feedback.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Curiosity to learn AI-native product design tools and workflows. What We Value
- Lean-pod operator. You thrive in small teams where you wear multiple hats and the distance from idea to production is hours, not weeks.
- Product brain. You care about why we're building something, not just what . You'll push back on bad specs.
- Calm in chaos. Startup velocity is the floor, not the ceiling. You stay sharp when priorities shift.
- Craft. You ship fast, but you don't ship sloppy.
Why Klarixa
- Day-0 equity. Real ownership from the moment you join. We want you invested in the outcome — not just employed by it.
- Founder access. No middle layers. You'll be in the room where architecture, product, and strategy decisions are made.
- Top 1% ambition. We're not building a feature shop. We're building a category leader, and we hire people who want to be part of that bar.
- Founders who've done it. A mix of core AI/SaaS builders and life sciences operators who've lived the problems we're solving for 20+ years.
- Tooling and autonomy. Best-in-class dev environments, AI tooling budget, and the trust to use them.
- Real impact. Pharma, biotech, and medical device companies will use what you ship to keep medicines safe and audits clean. The work matters.
Big Pluses
- Prior experience at a product-led startup or high-growth SaaS company
- Daily user of Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable AI dev tools — bonus if you can show what you've built with them
- Exposure to regulated industries (pharma, healthcare, fintech) or workflow-heavy enterprise SaaS
- Open-source contributions or side projects that show range
