About this role
Founding Member of Technical Staff (MTS) – Trading Systems
Location: Hyderabad, India (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Company: Neural Derivatives
Works Directly With: Founder & Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) Build the Future of Quantitative Intelligence Financial markets are among the most complex dynamic systems ever created. Building machines capable of understanding, modeling, and operating within these systems requires far more than conventional software engineering. It demands the convergence of
Physics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Scientific Computing, Market Microstructure, and High-Performance Systems Engineering. At Neural Derivatives, we're building the next generation of institutional-grade quantitative trading infrastructure—from exchange connectivity and ultra-low-latency execution to AI-powered research platforms and scientific computing systems. We're looking for exceptional engineers who want to build that future from first principles. This is a founding engineering role with an opportunity to shape the technical foundation of the company for years to come. Our Philosophy We believe:
- Great engineering begins with first principles.
- Scientific rigor beats assumptions.
- Correctness always comes before cleverness.
- Performance is engineered—not wished into existence.
- Simplicity scales.
- Every optimization should be measurable.
- Research drives innovation.
- Long-term thinking compounds.
- Ownership matters more than titles.
- Exceptional engineers build exceptional companies. Your Mission As a
Founding Member of Technical Staff (MTS) , you will architect, build, and continuously evolve the complete trading infrastructure that powers Neural Derivatives. Working directly with the Founder & CPTO, you will help define the architecture, engineering culture, technical standards, and long-term direction of the company. This is not a maintenance role. Candidates We Especially Encourage We're especially interested in engineers who have built production trading systems, exchange infrastructure, market data platforms, or other latency-sensitive distributed systems. Candidates with experience at leading quantitative trading firms—including
Jane Street, Hudson River Trading, Citadel Securities, Optiver, IMC Trading, Jump Trading, Tower Research, DRW, AlphaGrep, Graviton Research Capital, Quadeye, WorldQuant , or similar organizations—are highly encouraged to apply. We also welcome exceptional engineers from high-performance computing, operating systems, networking, databases, AI infrastructure, compiler engineering, scientific computing, cloud infrastructure, and exchange technology. What Success Looks Like Within your first year, you'll help build:
- Production Exchange Connectivity Platform
- Institutional-grade OMS & EMS

- The technical foundation for a scalable multi-asset quantitative trading platform Founder Mindset We're building Neural Derivatives for the long term. Our founding team members are builders. You'll be expected to move comfortably between architecture, implementation, performance optimization, debugging, design reviews, production operations, and technical strategy. No task is beneath anyone. Humility, curiosity, ownership, discipline, and execution define how we work. Compensation & Long-Term Ownership Early members of our technical team will be eligible to participate in Neural Derivatives' long-term equity incentive program. We believe the people who build the company should participate meaningfully in the value they help create. Equity participation is designed to reward long-term commitment, with economic value expected to be realized upon a future qualifying liquidity event, subject to the company's equity plan and applicable agreements. As the company grows, a competitive market-rate compensation package will be introduced following institutional funding or sustainable commercial scale. Founder's Note Thank you for taking the time to read this opportunity. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working across global exchanges, quantitative finance, distributed systems, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing. One observation has remained constant: the most impactful technology is built by small teams of exceptional people who care deeply about solving difficult problems. Neural Derivatives was founded on a simple belief—that the future of quantitative finance will emerge from the convergence of
Physics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, and High-Performance Computing . Our ambition isn't simply to build another trading firm. We're building a long-term research and engineering company where scientific thinking, rigorous experimentation, and exceptional software engineering come together to solve some of the most challenging problems in computational finance. As one of our founding Members of Technical Staff, you won't inherit someone else's architecture—you'll help define it. You'll influence how we design systems, conduct research, build products, make technical decisions, and grow our engineering culture for years to come. We're looking for people who are intellectually curious, technically ambitious, humble enough to keep learning, and motivated by difficult problems rather than comfortable routines. If you're excited by the opportunity to build world-class technology from first principles—and to help shape a company designed to endure for decades—I would be delighted to hear from you.
Let's build the future together. —
