Founding Full-Stack AI Agent Engineer

We are hiring a Founding AI Agent Engineer to build

production-grade AI workflow systems for Scalio’s new product experience

. What you will build

• Multi-step AI workflows that take actions, not just answer questions
• Systems that call tools/APIs, manage state, and continue execution over time
• Background workers, scheduled jobs, retries, and failure recovery flows
• Smooth workflow/chat interfaces where needed Required skills
• Strong backend engineering in Node.js/TypeScript or Python
• APIs, databases, queues, workers, cron jobs, webhooks, and retries
• Tool calling, structured outputs, context management, and workflow orchestration
• State management for long-running or multi-step workflows
• Ability to ship fast with ambiguous requirements Good to have
• Experience building AI agents or workflow automation products
• Experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Temporal, or similar tools
• Experience building chat-based or workflow-based product interfaces
• Frontend ability to create polished, smooth user experiences Role is NOT FOR:
• prompt engineers
• frontend-only developers
• ML researchers focused on model training
• candidates who have only built AI demos or tutorials Ideal candidate
• Has built AI agents, automation systems, internal tools, or AI SaaS features used by real users
• Can take an ambiguous product idea and turn it into a working system
• Thinks deeply about reliability, user experience, and production edge cases
• Cares more about shipping useful systems than experimenting with frameworks
