About this role
About CredX CredX is a verified hiring platform built for the Indian market. We are solving one of the most persistent problems in recruitment unverified credentials, unvetted candidates, and broken trust between employers and job seekers. Every candidate on CredX is credentialed, verified, and badged before they ever reach a hiring manager. We are incorporated in the USA and operating out of Hyderabad. Our stack is Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Razorpay, and Azure. We are building our founding product team right now — a small group of exceptional engineers and designers who will architect, build, and own this platform from the ground up. No bureaucracy. No committees. Just high-trust, high-ownership, high-output work. If you are the kind of engineer who is embarrassed by mediocre UI and loses sleep over broken user flows this is your seat.
What You Will Own Interface Architecture
- Design and own the complete frontend architecture of CredX from zero folder structure, module boundaries, lazy loading strategy, and component hierarchy.
- Define and enforce Angular best practices across the codebase including strict TypeScript, reactive forms, and OnPush change detection as the default standard.
- Set the component contract between frontend and backend before API implementation begins you do not wait, you define.
- Build and maintain a reusable internal component library aligned with the CredX design system.
- Own performance initial load time, bundle size, rendering efficiency, and perceived speed across all user roles.
State Management and Data Flow
- Architect and implement application-wide state management using NgRx or equivalent clean, predictable, and debuggable.
- Own all RxJS streams, observable chains, and async data handling patterns across the application.
- Design API integration layers with proper error handling, retry logic, loading states, and optimistic updates.
- Ensure zero data leakage and clean teardown across component lifecycles.
Payments and Billing UI
- Build the complete billing and subscription experience plan selection, seat management, mid-cycle upgrades, proration displays, and renewal flows.
- Implement Razorpay and Stripe frontend integrations with complete webhook feedback loops reflected accurately in the UI.
- Handle all payment edge cases in the interface failed transactions, card retries, expired plans, grace periods, and access restriction gates.
- Ensure the billing UI is the most reliable, trust-inducing surface on the platform.
Product Systems and Role-Based Experience
- Build distinct, complex UI experiences for multiple user roles Super Admin, Employer, Recruiter, Hiring Manager, and Candidate with strict route guards and permission-based rendering.
- Own the candidate verification and document submission workflows end-to-end on the frontend.
- Build authentication flows including JWT handling, token refresh, session management, and secure storge.
- Implement real-time features, including notifications, status updates, and live verification feedback, where applicable.
Delivery and Quality
- Own frontend delivery end-to-end from design handoff to production release.
- Write unit and integration tests as a non-negotiable part of the development cycle.
- Use AI coding tools actively and fluently to accelerate output without compromising quality. We move fast and we expect our tools to move with us.
- Take full accountability for frontend stability, bug triage, and long-term code health.
What We Are Looking For
- 2 to 4 years of production Angular experience with a portfolio or codebase that demonstrates genuine mastery not familiarity.
- Deep RxJS proficiency operators, subjects, multicasting, and stream composition are second nature to you.
- Strong state management architecture experience with NgRx, Akita, or NGXS in a real production environment.
- Proven experience building and integrating payment flows Razorpay or Stripe preferred, with an understanding of webhook-driven UI state.
- Exceptional UI sensibility, you have an opinion about spacing, hierarchy, and interaction design, and you push back on designs that are not good enough.
- Mastery of reactive forms for complex, multi-step, validated workflows.
- Strong TypeScript fundamentals you write typed, strict, maintainable code by default.
- Experience building RBAC-driven applications with multiple distinct user roles and permission surfaces.
- Proficient with AI development tools Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or equivalent, and actively uses them to multiply output.
- Comfortable owning the entire frontend in the absence of a large team. You are not waiting for someone to assign you tickets.
Preferred Skills
- Experience building on Azure-hosted frontend deployments with CDN configuration and environment-specific builds.
- Exposure to micro-frontend architecture or module federation for large Angular applications.
- Familiarity with WebSockets or SSE for real-time UI features.
- Prior experience in an early-stage startup or founding team environment where ambiguity was the default condition.
- Contributions to open source Angular projects or a public GitHub that demonstrates code quality and consistency.
