Founding Engineer - (React Native Developer + MERN)

Company Description At Curomates, we're building a platform where people find emotional support and we're looking for an engineer who wants to build things that actually matter.

Role Description You'll be a core part of a small, high-ownership team, working across our React Native app and MERN backend from feature ideation to production deployment. You're a fit if you:

• Have 2-4 years of hands-on experience with React Native and MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)
• Have shipped mobile apps to production on both Play Store and App Store
• Are comfortable with deployments on GCP and Firebase
• Use modern AI dev tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar - we move fast and expect you to as well
• Own a MacBook (Optional, required for iOS development)
• Thrive in early-stage environments - fast iterations, real ownership, no hand-holding Good to have:
• Experience with real-time features or AI integrations
• Familiarity with Firebase AI or similar tooling
